Tango with Buenos Aires

I’m half English half Argentinian but I was raised in  France. My family in Argentina lives in Cordoba, that’s why, before Buenos Aires I was there to visit my relatives. I’m here to make a presentation about ‘Theatre of the Oppressed’, but the city gave me way more then my expectations. Before Argentina I was in India, i was doing my research about ‘oppressed theatre’. When I came here, this presentation was the highlight of my Buenos Aires trip. I was planning to know this huge important South American city but I wasn’t expecting a city that I’d fall in love in this level.

When I first came here I decided to go for a tango one night, then, it changed all my life in Buenos Aires, I was taking tango courses three times almost every day. Tango become very emotional and impressive for me. Action and feedback ritual between partners while dancing is pretty hard to explain just with words.I basically became a nocturnal animal mostly becasue of  tango. It was my new passion. I love to go out at night for a milonga and practice tango all night long.

Theatre is a tool for me to express problems of social life. It’s important part of my life, I’m a big fan of traditional Japanese theatre too. My next stop will be Rio, it’s a trip focussed on ‘Theatre of the Oppressed’ as well, then, I will go back to Europe to start my studies on theatre. I’m still not sure about where to study yet, but it will be in Europe.  Then obviously, I will change the world and make it better place to live for anyone.
